Estate Planning

We provide service, experience and guidance to our clients while emphasizing simplicity over complexity.  Tell us your unique personal and financial concerns, needs and goals and we will help you select the most appropriate estate planning tools to accomplish your intentions.

Estate Planning is the process of organizing & arranging for the orderly management & disposition of your affairs & assets during your life and after your death, to minimize legal & financial complications, fees & expenses, and taxes.

Please read our Guide to Estate Planning for more information and review/complete our Estate Planning Questionnaire.

The process involves an initial meeting at which we assess your estate planning goals and review your assets, paying close attention to how your assets are owned now and explaining how they will pass on your death.  We also discuss your current liability and under-insured motorist insurance coverage and make recommendations for you to consider to help protect your assets now.

You will choose among Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney for Financial Management, Powers of Attorney for Health Care and Health Care Directives, Community Property Agreements and in some cases, select more sophisticated planning tools to minimize taxes.

At the end of the process we provide you with a notebook in which you will place copies of all your ownership documents, along with the documents we prepare, so that your executors, trustees and attorneys-in-fact can begin their services efficiently with the information in hand and without having to become investigators.
